Who I am

I am a theologian whose vocation was born from the poetic fire that emanates from lived experience, rooted in both the sacred and the everyday. Throughout my journey, whether accompanying Spanish-speaking women in retreat spaces or exploring biblical texts about anonymous female figures, I seek to bring compassion, intellectual acuity, and creativity to every dimension of my work.

My identity as a chaplain has been shaped by the silences and urgencies of hospital hallways; my scholarship, nourished by the stories that shape faith; and my liturgical practice, woven with words that confess, heal, and evoke vivid metaphors.

I move sensitively between cultures, languages, and spiritual traditions, always seeking to open spaces for lament, resilience, and renewal. My work pulses with a deep longing for justice, authentic connection, and embodied meaning, whether organizing a retreat, drafting an academic proposal, or writing a prayer of forgiveness.

I don't just interpret stories; I inhabit them, and I extend an invitation

to others to do the same.

I always seek depth and clarity; I study not only to acquire knowledge, but to facilitate processes of healing and transformation. At the same time, I deeply value beauty: I discover it in prayer, in poetry, and in shared presence.

I am committed to building spaces where people can feel seen, heard, safe, and transformed.

My Story

Human behavior is my greatest curiosity. How do we act? Why do we act? Why & how we don't? It has always been amazing to observe, and now, I have a chance to report back. My life's work is about helping individuals understand themselves and understand themselves in relationships better. Because life happens around us and to us, having a wholistic observer join your journey can help gain perspective. I join clients who are intentionally seeking wellness, who want to disrupt unhelpful patterns, and are ready to face (often times) difficult truths, together.

Born at the border of two countries, USA & Mexico, I am a bicultural immigrant female-identifying psychotherapist who is a student of life at large with formal studies in Marriage & Family Therapy, Theology, and Psychology. I have been honored to work in emergency services in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, USA, and Tamaulipas, MX. I have worked with private individuals facing incredible traumas and groups navigating collective tragedies. Distress that is emotional, psychological, or spiritual has been the most familiar space of the last 20 years of work. My hope is to continue to help individuals and families integrate realities and adapt to new circumstances with compassion, love, courage, and creativity. The path forward does not always feel so clear, but it can collectively be created, and I lean into that process daily.

In my spare time, I help manage grants, offer translation services, listen to podcasts, support creative communication efforts, take photographs, and always try to follow my heart. As our paths cross now, know that I (and others) hope the best for you and believe the universe is conspiring in your favor.
